OUR STORY!!!

Universal Noise was founded by Mr. Donta McMichael. Donta is an up and coming Label CEO that has been involved with music business since the year 2003. During his high school years, he was apart of the concert, symphonic, and marching band serving both as a percussionist and head drum major. He was also apart of The Dallas Austin Foundation where he became an engineer for the studio given to his school by Dallas Austin himself. Immediately after graduating North Atlanta School of Performing Arts, he enrolled into Georgia Southern University with a focus in Business Management. Currently, Mr. McMichael is a junior with a great understanding of marketing and leadership roles due to joining on-campus groups which include: Georgia Southern University's Leadership Committee ’09, and a promotional agency known as H.H.E (Hussle Hard Empire). As the former President of H.H.E’s Music Department, he has worked with many diverse bands on-campus. Gaining such experience has motivated Mr. McMichael to create a gateway for young, dedicated and talented students to express their unique musical brilliance beyond Georgia. While building the company, Donta was determined to pick only elite collegues based on what he knew and what others would, indeed, respect and take serious.


During the last few months, we have been piloting Universal Noise with a small, but powerful group of students who all attend Georgia Southern University with positions that keep the structure of the company together. Each student was given the role of Vice President for a specific department, depending on their major and a few other factors that were stated during the selection process (CHECK OUT THE PICS >>>>>>). After carefully choosing seven of Atlanta, GA’s very own for the job, we then began to research how Independent Record Labels function and how we wanted to build our label.
